is one of the most passionate dance music on the planet, and one of its greatest stars is Kanda Bongo Man, a flamboyant singer
and charming bandleader who effortlessly fuses African Soukous rhythms with deep funk, Latin beats and reggae bass lines to
update the usual classic Soukous sound into a universal music. In 2005, he performed with his full band at the
Africa Calling festivities to combat poverty in Cornwall, England. Kanda Bongo Man is on a USA Tour as of
May 19, 2006 at SOB'S in NYC.
